Does it takes 2hrs of security check at IGI Airport at New Delhi?

I'm a white Canadian, been to Delhi over 20 times. It's like no other airport in the world, I aim for 4 hours prior to boarding minimum. SERIOUSLY IT IS HELL. They are not helpful, the security is extremely rude, more so than anywhere else. It's necessary in this part of the world but annoying. You have to check in then go through three separate and each very long checks before you can wait at your gate. Get there early.
