My Playstation bluetooth mic is not registering what should I do?

I don't know what happened to my mic... I was just using it last night and this morning I tried playing with my friends online and the mic would make a sound like it usually does everytime you turn it on but for some reason I dont see the mic thing on the top right of my TV or the little speaker thing when you play beside the name. I tried going to the voice changer and check if maybe there was just something wrong with the game but no I cant even hear myself when I'm trying to change my voice to a higher or lower pitch.I tried plugging the wire to my mic and see if it would register again but nothings happening... What should I do?
