Clark county nevada food stamp help?

My husband makes fairly decent money takes home about 2700 a month and I am disabled and get about 800 a month. It may sound like a lot but its not my meds are 500 a month car payment is 400 house pymt is 1000. And that's just the beginning. So whats the problem? We know of a younger woman with 6 children that needed a home and we took them in about 2 months ago. The kids are awesome but wow did the grocery bills go up! We are really struggling. Does any one know if we could apply for food help or am I being out of line. They have no income so yes we take care of all their needs. I checked the county web site but it did not tell me .
